# V2 CJK Text Layout

This document defines CJK text layout support for `TODOS.phase-72.72.11.2.2`.
The validation applies line breaking rules for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean
text and checks kinsoku shori guards that prevent bad punctuation breaks.

## Layout Inputs

`V2/ue/Tools/generate-v2-cjk-text-layout.py` reads:

- `V2/ue/Content/Localization/V2/StringTables/LaunchStrings_V2.json`
- `V2/ue/Content/Localization/V2/CJK/CJKTextLayoutRules_V2.json`

The rules cover `ja-JP`, `ko-KR`, `zh-Hans`, and `zh-Hant`. Each locale has a
display-unit budget plus forbidden break-before and break-after character sets.
`V2/ue/Content/Localization/V2/CJK/CJKTextLayoutReport_V2.json` validates that
generated line breaks do not place closing punctuation at the start of a line
and do not leave opening punctuation at the end of a line.

## Regeneration

Run the generator after changing CJK launch text or text layout rules:

## Verification

Run this gate after changing CJK translated text, layout rules, generated
reports, docs, or CI wiring:
