# V2 VO, Music, and Audio Production

This document implements section 77.3, 77.4, 77.6, and 77.14. The production
contract at `V2/ue/Content/V2/Production/ProductionOps_V2_Contract.json`
contains the validation data for launch locale coverage, soundtrack track count,
music rights, VO backup, and release-bank rules.

## VO casting

V2 launches with per-fighter casting in en-US, en-GB, ja-JP, ko-KR, fr-FR,
de-DE, es-419, pt-BR, and zh-Hans. Every locale covers the full launch roster,
uses the locale casting director listed in [org.md](org.md), and carries
contract language for pickup sessions and emergency replacement.

Each fighter receives:

| Script bank | Required coverage |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Pre-fight banter | Per-matchup lines for principal rivals and pooled lines for broad roster |
| Win, loss, draw | Mode-aware quotes and mirror-match variants |
| Mid-fight barks | Stamina, low health, crowd, stage hazard, comeback state |

Performance notes are archived per actor, locale, fighter, and script bank.
Replacement actors receive the same performance reference pack and director
notes before recording.

## VO release pipeline

Voice banks are versioned by locale and patch: `VO/<locale>/V2_<patch>_<bank>`.
The hot-swap pipeline can replace a bank on patch without touching deterministic
combat data. Substitute-actor protocol requires legal approval, cultural review,
audio director approval, and final localization QA.

## VO backup plan

Every fighter has a primary voice reference and an alternate voice reference in
the per-fighter ledger. Backup actors are pre-cleared for emergency replacement,
illness, scheduling conflicts, or controversy response. The response protocol
is:

1. Legal reviews the contract and likeness termination rights.
2. Audio Director approves the performance-match target.
3. Locale VO Director records a pickup sample.
4. Localization QA compares timing, subtitle sync, and tone.
5. Release Director approves the bank hot-swap.

## Music composer and soundtrack

Lead composer: Mira Solis.

Ruleset sub-composers:

| Ruleset | Composer |
| ------------ | ------------ |
| MK | Anton Vale |
| SF | Rei Nakamura |
| Tekken | Jun Park |
| WWE | Quinn Adler |
| UFC | Nia Brooks |
| Soul Calibur | Elise Moreau |
| Def Jam | Malik Stone |

The launch OST contains 60 unique cleared tracks across rulesets, stages,
entrances, finishers, and streamer-safe alternates. The contract file lists the
track catalog and validates the count. Per-fighter signature themes cover all
launch roster fighters through the fighter signature music bank and are reviewed
with the fighter champion before content lock.

## Licensed and streamer-safe music

Def Jam ruleset hip-hop tracks use original compositions plus licensed artist
features with per-artist contracts. Tracks containing samples carry sample
clearance records for mechanical, sync, master, game-use, trailer-use, and
streamer-visible rights.

The DMCA-safe library is authored as a separate bank for streamer mode. Streamer
mode swaps every licensed hip-hop track, entrance sting, and replay export bed
to a cleared alternate.

Locale remixes are approved for ja-JP, ko-KR, es-419, pt-BR, and zh-Hans where
cultural review confirms the remix improves local resonance without changing
mode readability.

## Soundtrack release

The soundtrack consumer product plan includes Founders Edition vinyl, Spotify,
Apple Music, Bandcamp, and creator-safe preview tracks. The Music Supervisor
owns metadata, royalty splits, artwork approvals, and release timing.

## SFX licensing

Shipping SFX libraries are commercial-use, royalty-cleared, and tracked by
source library, license id, usage family, and import receipt. Royalty-bearing
libraries are blocked from the shipping build by the production contract
checker.
