DRAFT TEMPLATE — no external engagement executed; counterparty TBD.

Corrected 2026-06-12: an earlier revision of this document presented itself as an effective SOW with "external IP-clearance counsel" as the vendor. No external counsel was ever engaged; the clearance dispositions in V5/legal/ip-clearance-manifest.json are internal self-reviews only. This file is an unexecuted draft template; see V5/REMEDIATION_2026-06-12.md.

Parties#

  • Client: V5 Publishing Compliance
  • Vendor: [VENDOR TBD]
  • Engagement ID: ip-clearance.v5.2026-05
  • Effective date: [DATE TBD upon execution]

Scope#

Counsel reviews the launch content index for:

  • cast, faction, city, district, location, vehicle, and mechanic names;
  • card-game rules and terminology;
  • period radio, television, news, and historical NPC references;
  • licensed or commissioned music, venue audio, karaoke, and score assets;
  • celebrity or real-person likeness, including NIL contract gating.

Delivery#

The engagement produces a clearance disposition in V5/legal/ip-clearance-manifest.json and an approved shipping-name replacement patch in V5/legal/final-name-substitutions.json.

Release Gate#

No marketing build, store page, trailer, soundtrack release, celebrity cameo, real-person likeness, or licensed-music package may ship unless the relevant bucket is marked cleared in the manifest and has a fallback path for unresolved or expired rights.
