Scope#

Local multiplayer covers split-screen 1v1, couch co-op, four-player local FFA, and Hot-Seat 1P. These modes are offline by default and do not require network services. LAN Play remains a separate mode that requires LAN setup and uses the LAN tournament netcode path.

Split-Screen 1v1#

Players can choose vertical split or horizontal split on PC and supported consoles. Each side owns its HUD strip, input glyphs, controller mapping, accessibility preset, and rumble settings. Two-view rendering scales quality to preserve the 60 fps target.

Couch Co-op#

Couch co-op supports Story, Tekken Force, Devil Within, and Konquest where authored. Missions can choose a shared camera or split-screen camera, allow drop-in/drop-out with quick controller re-pairing, and pair two selected fighters against a shared enemy pool.

Four-Player Local FFA#

Four-player local FFA uses a shared camera when all four fighters can remain visible. If the camera cannot show all fighters, the mode falls back to four-way split-screen. Each side has controller pairing and a compact HUD strip.

Hot-Seat And Progress#

Hot-Seat 1P alternates a single controller per round and per match. Each side can identify an account at match setup, so local matches can attribute account-level XP, character mastery XP, and stats when both sides are identified.

UI#

Match Setup exposes per-side local setup panels for controller pairing, accessibility presets, and input glyph previews. The UI explicitly distinguishes Local matches from LAN matches before players start the session.
