V2 provides mental-health support for permanent staff, contractors, external studio partners with recurring access, and moderation contractors handling sensitive material.

Employee Assistance Program#

The EAP covers on-site counseling, virtual counseling, and a 24/7 crisis line. Contractors receive equivalent access through either the studio EAP or a funded partner-provider arrangement in their region.

Mental Health Days#

Mental health days are allocated separately from sick time and PTO. Managers do not require a diagnostic disclosure. Usage is tracked only as a staffing signal and not as a performance metric.

Trauma-Informed Workplace#

Staff handling gore moderation, sexual-harassment reports, child-safety moderation, real-world hate content, or player self-harm escalations receive:

  • opt-out and rotation rights
  • pre-briefing on expected material
  • post-shift decompression time
  • access to counseling without manager approval
  • escalation path when content exceeds the documented role scope

Check-In Rotation#

Each discipline lead runs a monthly mental-health check-in rotation. The check is not a status meeting; it records workload, support needs, traumatic-content exposure, PTO blockers, and whether the person has a clear path to escalate.

Confidentiality#

Individual mental-health details remain confidential with HR/people operations and the provider. Production receives only aggregate staffing risk, coverage needs, and approved accommodations.
