Section 109 defines anti-grav hover racing, speed bands, energy pickups, shields, pod-racer chassis rules, launch tracks, and the futuristic ruleset toggle.
Hover Physics#
Hover physics uses thrust and lift vectors replacing wheel-traction. Each vehicle has a per-vehicle anti-grav curve and independent pitch, roll, and yaw control.
Magnetic track adhesion lets per-track flagged sections pull the vehicle into the track at high G through banked turns. Loop-the-loop support lets the vehicle invert on the track surface using anti-grav and magnetic adhesion together.
Speed Bands#
Per-track speed bands are booster strips with cinematic motion blur and speed lines. Speed-class racing supports Sub-Light, Light, Standard, Anti-Grav, Hyper, and Cosmic classes with a max speed cap and handling profile per vehicle class.
Weapons And Shields#
Energy weapons are photon cannon, homing missile, EMP burst, quake, shield, and boost. Pickups are authored per track.
Shield bands define per-vehicle shield capacity, recharge rate, and visual shield bubble VFX.
Pod-Racer Rules#
Pod-racer chassis support dual, triple, and quad engine pods linked by an energy field to a small cockpit. Each engine has an independent damage state.
Per-engine throttle independence lets the player balance throttle between engines for turn-side speed differential. If all engines are lost, the pod cockpit crashes with a cinematic.
Tracks#
Futuristic launch tracks are Sky Circuit, Canyon Pod Race, and Orbital Station Loop. Sky Circuit is a high-altitude city loop with cliff drops. Canyon Pod Race has magnetic banked turns and jump arcs. Orbital Station Loop has a zero-G section and cinematic Earth vista.
Mode Pivot#
Futuristic mode is an opt-in ruleset toggle with per-region content variants, no controversial branding, and pickup balance separate from standard combat racing.
Verification#
FuturisticPodRacer_V2_Contract.json, futuristic-pod-racer.json, the
RaceModes.Module automation spec, and check-v2-futuristic-pod-racer.py
validate Section 109.
